Notes from my journey with UTI, cytolytic vaginosis and neuroplastic pain

I could have never predicted that I’d end up launching a blog sharing my journey with long-lasting UTIs, cytolytic vaginosis, and my discoveries about neuroplastic pain. Not exactly the most glamorous topic to write about, but I’m genuinely so glad I get to do this.

I’ve always liked to believe that everything happens for a reason.

I’ve decided that all the crap I’ve been through—and am still dealing with to some extent—is meant to help me share my story with women all over the world.

Hopefully, it will make someone feel a little less alone, or give them a bit of strength and hope. Because living with a chronic condition—no matter what kind—can be so  isolating and mentally draining.

MY JOURNEY

Four chapters. An ongoing story.

Chapter One

ChatGPT is Not a Doctor – duh!

Driven by my stubborn “good girl” mindset and ChatGPT’s false promises, I spent months misinterpreting my body’s signals—only to realize I was blindly fighting two separate conditions at once.

Chapter Two

The Worst Time of My Life

From dismissive doctors and failed treatments to the overwhelming anxiety and fear that consumed my life, this is the story of hitting rock bottom with chronic pain before choosing a completely new direction.

Chapter Three

A New Perspective on Pain

Shifting my mindset around pain and learning to listen to my body changed everything, but the real breakthrough came when I stopped chasing quick fixes and let my cycle reveal the truth.

Chapter Four

Say Hello to My New Friend, Cytolytic Vaginosis

Finally getting official confirmation that my original self-diagnosis was right brought both confusion and an immense sense of relief—and a whole new struggle, as modern medicine still has no ‘real’ treatment for Cytolytic Vaginosis.

Remember, there are thousands of others going through the same thing.

You are not alone.

I’ve decided that all the crap I’ve been through—and am still dealing with to some extent—is meant to help me share my story with women all over the world.
